Pakhal Lake Pakhal Wildlife Sanctuary Suryapet

Pakhal Lake is a beautiful man-made lake situated in the Pakhal Wildlife Sanctuary, Suryapet district of Telangana, India.  Believed to have been constructed in 1213 AD by the orders of the Kakatiya King Ganapathi Deva, the lake encompasses an area of 30 square kilometers. The Wild Life Sanctuary with an area of 839 square kilometers. This dense forest provides shelter to a variety of flora and fauna, making it a popular tourist in the Suryapet district. Activities at Pakhal Lake:  Boating: Boating with family & friends is the beauty of the lake. Bird watching: We can see a variety of birds, making it a great spot for bird watching. Trekking: Several trekking trails around the lake offer stunning views of the lake and the surrounding forest. Picnics: Pakhal Lake is the best spot for a picnic with family, kids, and friends. Ranjankudi Fort Perambalur

The Ranjankudi Fort is also called a Nanjankudikottai. Ranjankudi Fort is located near Perambalur district in Tamil Nadu, India.  History of Ranjankudi Fort Construction: Believed to be built by the Vijayanagar Nayaka Kings around the 15th century. There's evidence that the area previously housed Hindu temples.  Rulers: The fort has changed hands throughout history. After the Nayakas, the Nawabs of Carnatic controlled it during the 17th century. Military Significance: The fort was a key site during the 1751 Battle of Valikondah. British troops allied with Mohammed Ali in the war triumphed over French forces supported by Chanda Sahib. The fort's design was built for defensive purposes during the war. It has a three-tiered structure built with cut stone blocks, an encircling moat, and semicircular bastions that likely held cannons. Today, the Ranjankudi Fort is not maintained properly but this is one of the  tourist destinations in the Perambalur district.
